Revenge anime/manga always has a spot in the industry as there are a lot of anime fans who enjoy the genre owing to its setting where the main protagonist strives to become better and ignores several distractions that hinder their progress.
“Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells ” is an anime where the protagonist is summoned to another world where magic exists, along with his classmates.
Despite the new environment, Mimori Touka still remains the weakest just like the way he was in his previous world where people took advantage of him and ignored his existence as something equivalent to worthless.
Below are some of the best Mimori Touka quotes from “Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells” anime that depict his true resolve about being loyal to his goal.
Mimori Touka’s quotes from Failure Frame anime:
Go to hell, you rotten goddess!
If l ever make it back alive, you’d better be ready!
Mimori Touka had only one vision at that moment, and that was to seek revenge on the goddess if he ever got the chance to make a comeback and return alive from the dangerous dungeon to which he was being teleported.
Even though he was summoned to another world along with the others, his status barely changed as there were no significant changes in terms of development or inclusion of any supernatural powers.
He was treated the same way even in this new world.
It’s the fatal flaw possessed of those arrogant in their strength. The moment you convince yourself you’re superior, the moment you convince yourself victory is inevitable, gives rise to your greatest foe. Overconfidence.
One of the most interesting and useful lines that ever came from Mimori Touka. It was when he faced the boss of the dungeon who’s been the ultimate obstacle to everyone who’s ever sent in the abandoned ruins dungeon.
Everyone who made it to the boss succumbed to its treacherous and manipulative trials where they were made to face against humans instead of the monsters they had been fighting so far.
As soon as their will breaks, the boss bursts into laughter and enjoys their defeat. However, that was the moment that Mimori seized and looked at it as an opportunity to take down the boss.
I’m gonna cry again… I’m not even sad or happy… I’m just scared.. I’m not scared… The emotion I just experienced.. Yeah, this is not fear.. This is frustration!
It was when Mimori was faced with various monsters for the first time. He continued using everything in his arsenal and destroyed the foes.
I want power!
One of the best plots in this anime is about the main protagonist being the weakest according to the world. As a result, he had to embrace the challenges and continue advancing.
Don’t depend on anything, rely on anyone, and don’t expect!
It is a reminder that most of the important things in one’s life are those that couldn’t be embraced by the influence of others. It has to be done alone without even a glimpse of help from others.
My aunt and uncle gave me normalcy. They gave me the warmth of family. They taught me kindness. They empathized with the pain of others, and I thought I had managed to become like them.
Mimori’s uncle and aunt have been a major source of inspiration for his overall development as a human being. Although he was aware of their qualities and appreciated them, there was no room for such qualities in this new world where revenge was the only thing he sought.
However, characters like Celes Ashrain constantly reminded him of the calm and cultivated qualities of his uncle and aunt.
Yet I feel nothing. I’m not shaking in terror over taking a life. My mind is unburdened by it. I’m scaring myself. That’s just how it’s gotta be.
Since the first episode, we’ve seen Mimori struggle to convey his point to others. However, he later realizes it isn’t like him to hold back instead of just simply going with the flow.
She said the Great Demon Empire was evil, but she’s far worse. Though I guess I’m no different, since I want revenge on her and don’t care about saving the world.
It’s evil versus evil versus evil.
All the heroes were summoned to this new world to fight against the Demon lord who had reawakened. However, those who are E-rank or below are forced into the abandoned ruins, which is a place that none could ever escape aside from Tauka Mimori.
And since he succeeded in the trial and earned his freedom, he’s no longer bound by the goddess’s rules to follow her instructions and fight according to her guidance and direction.
For days, months, even years… I tried to become harmless. I tried to become normal. I tried to become kind. I even deceived and fooled myself until I ultimately forgot what I was really like. Because I constantly had to keep playing Mimori Touka, the kind and normal background character.
We all misunderstood the personality of Mimori to be a kind and innocent one. It was only when he explained his circumstances that we learned about his true motives, which he was hiding behind the mask of Touka Mimori.
In actuality, he didn’t ever intend to be kind to others even when they did wrong to him or any of his associates.
Meet hostility with hostility. Meet bloodlust with the same, and crush them.
Touka Mimori gradually developed into a cold-hearted character, leaving behind the act to portray himself as a kind soul. So far, we’ve only encountered him in eleven episodes of the anime, and he is undoubtedly gonna get colder as the series progresses.
I had the weakest stats of all in these ruins. And I’m glad of it.
It was his overall Arsenal of magic that didn’t fit well with the environment of the world he was summoned to. The goddess looked down on him and ignored the significance of his existence after measuring their magical affinity.
However, to us, the viewers, it doesn’t seem as though Mimori was bestowed with the weakest kind of magical spells, especially when he’s able to inflict poison and paralyze almost every opponent.
A weak-ass human sent here for disposal managed to get one over on you. Pretty pathetic end for you, isn’t it?
It was his first impression after being able to defeat a horde of monsters who intended to kill him.
It might take me a fair deal of time, but I absolutely plan to pay that damn goddess back in the end. – To Anglin
The main plot of the series revolves around the moment when Mimori will finally be able to defeat the goddess and fulfill his revenge.
I’ll use anything as long as I can beat that goddess to a pulp. I will surely fulfill my revenge.
Goddess Vicious is the head of one of the regions in their world, and she exercises great power and political influence. She’s the one responsible for summoning heroes from another world and providing them with specialized training according to their ranks and capabilities.
Every magic that Touka Mimori tried using against her failed to inflict any damage, as if goddess Vicious was immune to such magic. It would be interesting to witness the battle between the two.
I’m disgusted by my evil side in a good way too.
The best way to explain this quote is that Mimori has started to like the way he handles things. His lack of hesitation before slaying any monster, even a human opponent, is a splendid development that has occurred in him.
Civit Garland – I’ll make you… regret this…
Touka – Are you stupid? That’s exactly why I’m crushing you for sure here.
Civil Garland was renowned as the strongest human alive and was sent on a mission to execute Seras Ashrain. Unfortunately, he fell for Mimori’s trick and exchanged words to fight Mimori in the future and to let them go at that moment. That’s when he let his guard down, and Touka finished him once and for all, even by the means of his cruel and cunning plans.
This isn’t a noble story, Civit Garland. For this is a story of revenge!
He betrayed the strongest human alive and took him down with meager efforts. It was a combination of cunning and cruel methods to break a promise and go back to your own words. But that’s what Mimori Touka is. He doesn’t intend to play the good guy.
I will gain enough power… I’ll become stronger and kill you. I’ll become stronger than anyone. I will gain enough power… ..to overpower everything in the extreme, even that goddess!
There’s a fair share of those fans who gave this anime a try for the sake of the protagonist and his revenge against the goddess. Although at times it may give the impression that the plot about revenge is an exaggeration.
It won’t hurt my heart to use them as guinea pigs. They’re scumbags, just like me.
There were several powerful and dangerous monsters nearly, and the best way for him to level up was to gain experience by slaying those monsters.
I’m not some noble hero trying to save the world. I’m just an avenger now.
Everyone feared that Mimori would give up and consider choosing noble and pure methods to get stronger or move forward. And yet, things turned out to be better than expected when he declared to be the evil who uses evil methods to deal with the evil.
He constantly reminded himself of his objectives and didn’t let anything get in his way.
My revenge takes utmost priority now. I think it’s harder for me to embrace other things. In a sense, it’s just like a curse. I guess I’ll be able to notice other things once I’ve had my revenge. Until then… Well, I’m fine with being cursed.
It was one of the most difficult moments for both the protagonist and the viewers. However, he chose not to give up to the temptations. He could’ve easily gone with the flow and let the emotions take charge. The restraint shown by Touka in this episode is truly remarkable and depicts the depths of his resolve.
Trust can’t be measured by the time you’ve spent with someone. I feel like I learned that today.
It was Eve Speed who came up with this quote and made us realize one of the bitter truths of life. Our trust could be broken even by the one who we assume to be our only. It’s a rather complicated outcome.
Surely time will heal it. Surely time will solve everything. But it doesn’t. My vengeance against that damned goddess shows no sign of fading.
And that’s the beauty of “Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells”. An anime where the protagonist is looked down upon and is deemed as the weakest among the others.
To seek revenge, Mimori Touka needs to get stronger and probably become the strongest of all. He sets on a journey to strengthen himself and his companion when he encounters those needed some help.
